A few weeks ago a few members of the core group of Revolution attended the Xenos Summer Institute. Speakers included Professors D.A. Carson and Gary Breshears and pastors Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle and Mark Mittleberg of Willow Creek in Chicago.
The focus of the conference was the growing influence of Emergent Village and how to do ministry in a postmodern context. If you don’t know what any of that means don’t worry because I’ll be posting a short history of Emergent and the postmodern church on another blog soon but if you do, or if you are simply interested in missiology i.e., contextualizing the Gospel for our “postchristian culture”, which is what Revolution is all about, then the seminar is all online for your listening pleasure.
If nothing else I highly recommend the sermons/lectures by Driscoll and Carson.
